World of Bots, AI is coming !!!

AI is streaming all over the world now. Let's talk about a field related to it.

Ever wondered what if many bots are kept in a human type environment and let go free to learn on their own?

Before answering the above question, let me answer a different question. How do humans learn? Ever wondered how a new born baby learns things without having any prior knowledge? So the baby learns by doing random things at first and checking if that is the correct thing to do. For example, when we say sit to a dog, it doesn't understand anything, so it does random things like waving the tail, barking etc etc. Then suddenly when it sits we give him a cookie as reward and then it realises that when we say to sit, it means to do this. This is called REINFORCEMENT LEARNING in the world of ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. So humans learn things rapidly in the environment by interacting with other humans and creatures.

Now coming back to my first question. If we simulate an environment similar to humans and release some bots inside it freely to learn just as the way humans learn, will the bots learn things similar to humans? This model will actually help us understand if someday robots and AI can meet or surpass humans in all fields. It might take a while for the bots to learn this way as humans also learn basic things in around 15 years on average. But we need faster results. So we need to change the environment rapidly and train the bots to record changes dynamically and learn from it as quick as possible. This might actually fasten up the process.

Today still AI does things that we want it to do. Not anything on its own. For eg. a chess playing bot can only play chess nothing else. But we humans can play anything and also do a numerous of activities. So the challenge is to build systems or bots that can do all such activities that humans do without coding for each of them separately. But this might create problems too. What will happen if robots take on us? Would we be slaves to the bots? But keeping negativity apart, this might be achieved soon in the near future (15 years from now at max).

AI is coming !!!
