Ever wondered what's so different in being an iitian? Here is my answer for you in short.
The difference here is the culture and atmosphere. I didn't find this thing in my previous college. Everything here is just so perfect. In short, IIT's are just countries with their own rules !!!
Life at iit has been just awesome so far. During normal days we are busy working for assignments and just before the minors we are busy studying to score avg gpa at least. Just after the minors currently Rendezvous, the cultural fest of iit-d is going on, which is just meant to relax you for the upcoming major exams. Life at iit's are hard for the people who are lazy. If you know how to manage time and prioritise things then it's the right place for you.
Apart from academics you can go for sports or your choice from basketball to cricket, indoor games like chess, carrom, etc.. ,music, gymnastics, swimming etc etc. But you won't get that much time to do all the activities if you don't manage time properly. The campus is totally pollution free and weather is just a bit cold now. You stay healthy and fit here as you have to run each single day to attend your morning classes either by walking or by cycling !!!....
Many people think that there life is just perfect with there daily routine of jobs and weekend parties in clubs and pubs. But that's not true. They haven't experienced the iit's yet. Here everyday you are just born again. Everyday is new. Sometimes you will be frustrated and sometimes cheering up if you get an abroad internship. There's so much happening here you can never imagine or think of. You will just be astonished saying " oooh !!! these things really exist!!! wow"...
The professors here are surpassing your level of imagination. Any question fired at them will be handled humbly and responded back, even your silliest of doubts wont be a mockery. The best thing is that no one would be judging you here. Here they also have a rule that whatever is taught in class, nothing will be asked in exams. And they are really strict regarding this. So you can't just mug up the slides and go and write the exams and score well. You will get an absolute 0 if you do this. They test your understandings, and not your mugging up skills. That's just so awesome !!!
Still a long way to go for me. Just a tip, do experience any iit just once in your lifetime. You won't regret your life after that. Don't believe me !!! then try it. Work hard for it. But yes, everyone won't be that lucky i know. Try your hard work and luck.... Good luck !!!
